Thiruvananthapuram: The District Collector informed that special ballots have been sent by post. It must be returned before counting begins. Public sector oil companies have been raising fuel prices in the wake of rising international crude prices.When the Modi government came to power in 2014, the excise duty on petrol was Rs 9.48 per liter and Rs 3.56 per liter on diesel. At present, it is Rs 32.98 and Rs 31.83 respectively. About 70 percent of the current fuel price is taxable.
