Thiruvananthapuram: In the wake of the Covid-era crisis, the state government will provide Vishu and Easter kits in April. Vishu and Easter kits are being provided free of cost to all ration cardholders as part of the current distribution of food kits. Ingredients in the kit: sugar – 1 kg, Chickpea – 500 g, Moong Dal – 500 g, Urad Bean – 500 g, split pigeon peas – 250 g, coconut oil – 1/2 liter, tea – 100 g, chilli powder – 100 g, atta – 1 kg, coriander powder – 100 g, Turmeric powder – 100 g, Soap – 2 g, Salt – 1 kg, Mustard / Fenugreek – 100 g.

Uttar Pradesh to impose Travel restrictions for Kerala and Maharashtra

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is all set to impose travel restrictions on Kerala and Maharashtra. The control is intended by the state Department of Health as part of corona prevention. Uttar Pradesh travel restrictions are intended to keep the corona expansion strong in Maharashtra and Kerala. The Department of Health recommends that passengers undergo an RTPCR test if they are required to undergo a mandatory antigen test.

The decision was taken because of the possibility of an increase in the number of passengers passing through Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar in Uttarakhand. The official letter was sent to the two states by state health secretary Amit Mohan. Initially, the health department has stated that it will not allow entry into the state without conducting antigen tests and RTPCR immediately in case of any suspicion.

Inspection systems have been set up at all railway stations. The Uttar Pradesh government has also set up a system to collect complete information of passengers, whether by train or bus.

The date was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora at a press conference at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. The Model Code of Conduct came into force today. Rupadeepak Mishra IPS will be the police observer in Kerala. A special central observer will be appointed within two days. Voting time has been extended by one hour.

The central government has suggested tightening checks at the airport. So the test cannot be missed. The minister said that the state government will conduct the inspection of the expatriates free of cost and send the results immediately.

The central government has announced a second wave of Covid in 16 states across the country. The number of Covid cases in the country has increased by 31 percent in the last week. In this context, the Central Government has directed to tighten airport surveillance.

New Delhi: The DGCA has approved a reduction in ticket prices for baggage-less passengers. The DGCA also allowed airlines to offer discounts on fares for passengers traveling with cabin luggage only. This has increased the likelihood of low-cost air travel.
Currently, cabin luggage is allowed up to seven kg. Up to 15 kg can be carried as check-in baggage. There is a charge for extra weight. According to the DGCA circular, those traveling with or without cabin luggage will be able to get a discount on the ticket price. The DGCA has permitted airlines to offer discounts on fares for such passengers. To take advantage of this, passengers will have to declare the weight of their luggage at the time of booking the ticket.

Airlines will have to publish the revised ticket price based on the DGCA circular. Companies may have to set special rates for baggage users. The DGCA also allowed airlines to set rates for other services such as priority seats and on-flight food delivery.

Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has said that the retirement age for government employees in Tamil Nadu has been raised to 60. As per Rule 110, he has announced in the Assembly that the hike will apply to all government employees, including government, aided educational institutions, public sector undertakings, and local bodies, and those retiring on May 31, 2021.

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted bail to Nodeep Kaur, a Dalit activist arrested for supporting the farmers’ agitation. It was alleged that Nodeep Kaur was beaten in police custody.

Dalit activist Nodeep Kaur was taken into custody by Haryana police on January 12 from Sonipat in Haryana. The arrest was made while he was active in the peasant struggle. Nodeep Kaur is accused of assaulting management representatives and employees of a business in Kundali. The bail application stated that the male police officer was brutally beaten while in police custody. Nodeep Kaur was granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday.

Poet Vishnu Narayan Namboothiri has passed away. He was 81 years old. The end was at Thiruvananthapuram.
His style of poetry was a combination of tradition and modernity. He has also served as a teacher. After retirement, he also worked as a pacifist.

Famous works include Swathandrathe Kurichoru Geetham, Pranaya Geethangal, India Enna Vikaram, and Aparajitha.
In 2014, the country honored him with the Padma Shri. He has won the Central and Kerala Sahitya Akademi Awards, the Odakkuzhal Award, the Ezhuthachan Award, and the Vallathol Award.

Bharat bandh tomorrow to protest against fuel price hike
