Idukki: Sunil Kumar alias Shan, a native of Vandiperiyar Mlamala, has been arrested in connection with the death of a six-year-old boy with a hammer at Anachal Amakandam. Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has won the Bhavanipur constituency in the Assembly by-elections. She won the constituency known as his home by a record majority. The majority was 58,389 votes. This is the highest majority in Bhavanipur constituency.
The BJP is trailing in all the four constituencies where by-elections were held. Mamata Banerjee is contesting from three constituencies in West Bengal and one in Odisha.

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has said that the Union Ministry of Health has updated the guidelines for international travelers. A 10-day quarantine was made mandatory for those coming from the UK. Passengers from South Africa, Brazil and Europe require a 7-day mandatory quarantine. All international passengers must undergo RTPCR inspection upon arrival at the airport. If the test is negative, 14 days of self-monitoring is required. Anyone with any symptoms should immediately contact RTPCR. In addition, the samples of those coming from the UK, South Africa, Brazil, Europe, the Middle East, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand and Zimbabwe will be sent for genetic testing.

Abu Dhabi: Four people were killed when an air ambulance plane crashed while on duty in the UAE. Abu Dhabi police said two pilots, a doctor and a nurse were killed in the crash.
