‘Mandala Makaravilakku’: 25,000 pilgrims can enter daily

Thiruvananthapuram: In the first days of the Mandala Makaravilakku pilgrimage at Sabarimala, it was decided to admit 25,000 people daily. If there is a need to change the number, it will be discussed later and necessary steps will be taken. The review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan suggested that those with comorbidities should come to Darshan only after checking their health condition.

The virtual queue system will continue. Pilgrims will not be allowed on the forest path via Erumeli and the traditional route to Sannidhanam via Pulmedu. Bath will be allowed in Pampa. Vehicles will only be allowed to park. KSRTC buses are available from there to Pampa.

Pilgrims under the age of 10 and over the age of 65 will also be allowed entry. Admission is also open to those who have received two doses of the Covid vaccine or who have produced an RTPCR negative certificate. They will not be allowed to stay in Sannidhanam after the darshan.

Adequate toilets will be ensured at KSRTC bus stops. The salaries of cleaning workers will be increased. Smoke detectors should be installed in buildings where fire safety systems do not exist.

Mumbai: The son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan- Aryan Khan- who was arrested in the drug party held in the luxury ship, was sent to judicial custody. Srinagar: Two government school teachers, including a woman principal, have been shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The deceased have been identified as Supinder Kaur, 44, principal of Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Safkadal in Sangam Eid Gah area of Srinagar, and teacher Deepak Chand.

The gunmen stormed the school at 11.15 am and demanded people’s ID cards. Authorities said the two were then shot in the principal’s office, citing teachers.

The attackers fled the scene after the incident. A large contingent of police and CRPF personnel reached the school and started searching for the attackers. Supinder Kaur, a member of the Sikh community, hails from Alochi Bagh in Srinagar. Deepak Chand is a member of the minority Kashmiri Pandit community.

The ‘Resistance Force’ (TRF), which police say is a shadow of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the incident.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Dilbag Singh said that the killing of innocent civilians was an attempt to undermine Kashmir’s long-standing religious tradition. He said after visiting the school that the attackers would be caught soon.

Chance of heavy rain in the state till Monday: Yellow alert in various districts

Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rains will continue in the state till Monday, the Met Office said. The possibility of isolated heavy rains is forecast. The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated showers in Kollam, Ernakulam, and Malappuram districts for the next three hours.

No TC wanted; Student can join any school of his choice: Minister V Sivankutty

Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V Sivankutty said that a student can join the school of his choice without TC during the covid period. If there is a self-declaration, the student can take admission. The minister said the department has been instructed in this regard. There have been instances where some schools have sent lawyer notices to students. The minister told the assembly that the government was taking the matter very seriously.

Any child requesting a TC is required to pay a TC to the principal of the school following Sections 5 (2) and (3) of the Right to Education Act. Admission can be given only taking into account the physical conditions of the school where the student intends to join. Higher Secondary School Transfer can be done with Single Window Admission Procedure minister clarified in reply to the MLA Shamsir’s submission.

Benjamin List, a German researcher, and David W.C. MacMillan, an American researcher of British descent, bagged the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. They won the 2021 Nobel Prize for their discovery of new chemicals. The prize money of $ 11.4 lakh (Rs 8.2 crore) will be shared between the two. Born in Frankfurt in 1968, List holds a Ph.D. from Max Goethe University.

He is currently the director of the Max Planck Institute. David MacMillan was born in 1968 in Bellshill, UK. He is currently a lecturer at Princeton University. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of California, USA.

Monson Maungal Case: The Crime Branch has expanded its Special Investigation Team

Drug party case; One more person in NCB Custody

Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested one more person in a case connected with a drug party in Cordelia’s cruise ship. The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested the person who smuggled drugs to the ship. He was arrested from the Mumbai Powai zone. The details of the arrested one have yet to be revealed.

The NCB obtained the details of this person after interrogating the suspects in the NCB custody. He will be interrogated in detail.  
Aryan, the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, is the main accused in the case. So far, police have arrested 16 people. Seven more people, including four employees of the Delhi Event Management Company, were arrested in connection with the case the previous day.
They were the ones who invited the guests and distributed the tickets. The arrested Sameer Sehgal, Gopalji Anand, Manav Singhal, and Bhaskar Arora were found to be in charge of inviting guests. Abdul Qadir Sheikh, Manish Rajgaria, and Avin Sahu were arrested in Mumbai.

The court also remanded the arrested Shreyas Nair in NCB custody till 11 p.m. More than a thousand people flocked to the ship amid the covid ban in Maharashtra. They may also file a police case for violation of the covid rules. Meanwhile, the NCB says that Aryan Khan, who was arrested in the case, is fully cooperating with the investigation.

Rain warning has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Wayanad, Ernakulam, and Thrissur districts during the next three hours. Chance of thunderstorms in isolated areas. The Central Meteorological Department has forecast winds of up to 40 kmph. Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep have been warned not to go fishing off the coast. These places are also likely to experience winds of 40 to 50 kmph.
