Pathanamthitta: The state government has set up a spot booking facility for Sabarimala Darshan. The government informed the Devaswom Bench of the High Court. The government told the court that spot booking facilities have been set up at 10 places and devotees coming to Sabarimala without booking in advance will be able to use the system from Wednesday.

Aadhaar, identity card, and passport can be used for spot booking, he said. Solar is required to have a certificate of two vaccines or the result of an RTPCR test 72 hours in advance.

New Delhi: As part of the state government’s new liquor policy, liquor sales in Delhi will be completely privatized.

Under the new policy, shops with an area of 500 square feet will be fully air-conditioned and fitted with CCTV. Customers can choose their favorite brands as in shopping malls. Liquor can also be purchased after tasting at super premium shops.

Of the 250 liquor outlets currently state-owned by the private sector, 850 were given to private companies through open tender. New such bars were opened in 32 zones of the city. The new excise policy also allows the sale of bottled liquor in restaurants. The policy clarifies that liquor will be served in glasses or full bottles in restaurants and that it is the full responsibility of the licensee to ensure that the liquor is not taken out.

Gold worth Rs 51 lakh seized from Kannur airport

Kannur: Gold worth Rs 51 lakh seized from Kannur airport. The gold was seized from M Fazil, a native of Aralam.  The young man was caught with the gold during a joint search by DRI and customs.  Fazil was on an Air India Express flight from Sharjah last night.

The police seized 1040 grams of gold during a subsequent search.  The gold was found when the suspect was taken into custody and examined.  The paste-shaped gold was hidden in the anus.  1153 grams of gold was seized at the time of seizure but 1040 grams of gold was recovered.

26th International Film Festival in February

Thiruvananthapuram: This year’s International Film Festival in Kerala will be held from February 4 to 11.  It was earlier scheduled to start on December 10.  However, the film festival was delayed due to bad weather and lack of availability of theaters. The fair will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on February 4 at 6 pm at Nishagandhi Auditorium. The Government intends to hold the 26th edition of the IFFK, which will last for eight days, in all twelve theaters in Thiruvananthapuram with all its pride.

Four people, including two businessmen, were killed in Srinagar

Srinagar: Four killed in anti-terror operation by security forces in Srinagar. These include both entrepreneurs.  Businessmen Mudassir Gul and Altaf Bhatt were killed.  However, the police said that they were helping the militants.  The clash took place at a building in Hyderpora yesterday evening.  Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said Mudassir was running an illegal call center with six computers inside the building.  He said two pistols were recovered from the spot and a call center operating in the commercial complex was used for terrorist activities.

Police said the body could not be handed over to relatives due to law and order issues.  The bodies of the four were buried in Handwara area of ​​north Kashmir, about 100 km from Srinagar, police said.  Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has demanded a detailed probe into the incident.  The Mufti tweeted that innocent civilians were being used as human shields and that a judicial inquiry was needed to bring out the truth.
