Kochi: The high court has directed that Dileep should not be arrested till Friday in the case of conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. The court directed the government to state its position on Dileep’s anticipatory bail petition. The petition will be considered on Friday.

Dileep’s lawyer argued that the police had malicious intent behind the conspiracy case and were coming up with new allegations to prolong the trial of the case. The court asked the government to state its position on the anticipatory bail application and directed it not to proceed with the arrest proceedings until Friday.

Dileep, his brother Anoop and his sister’s husband Sooraj have filed a petition in the court seeking anticipatory bail in the conspiracy case.

According to the FIR, the accused had conspired to assassinate police officers, including former Kochi City Police Commissioner AV George, who was in charge of the investigation into the case. Based on the revelations of director Balachandra Kumar, the crime branch filed a case against Dileep and six others with non-bailable clauses.
