Thiruvananthapuram: KSEB has been awarded the EQ International Magazine Award for its work in implementing the rooftop Solar Project. The award will be presented at a conference in Delhi on the 13th. Reese Director R Suku will receive the award on behalf of KSEB. During the last week of March 2022, the installed capacity of the rooftop Solar Project in the state crossed 228 MW and the total installed capacity was 500 MW.

Indian student killed in Toronto clash between police and robbers

Toronto: An Indian student was shot dead in the Canadian city of Toronto. The deceased has been identified as Karthik Vasudev, 21, of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. The student was killed in a shooting outside Toronto’s Sherborne subway station on Thursday evening. It is learned that Karthik was shot during a clash between robbers and police in the city.

Karthik is a first-semester Marketing Management student at Seneca College. Karthik was shot on his way to a restaurant looking for a part-time job. Karthik was rushed to the hospital but could not save his life. Karthik arrived in Canada in January.

LOS ANGELES: The academy has banned Will Smith from attending the Oscars after beating American actor Chris Rock at the Oscars.
He was banned from all academy events, including the Oscars, for 10 years. The decision was made at a meeting of the Board of Governors in Los Angeles.

The academy assessed that Smith’s behavior was unacceptable. The decision was announced jointly by Academy President David Rubin and CEO Don Hudson. The dramatic scenes took place at the 94th Oscar Awards Ceremony.

The actor beat Rock for joking about his bald wife’s head as a result of alopecia, a hair loss condition. The announcement of Will Smith’s Best Actor came shortly after the event.

Smith had earlier apologized for his actions and resigned from the academy.

With the realization of this system, withdrawals can be made without debit and credit cards. The RBI said it would also help speed up transactions. According to the Reserve Bank of India, this will help prevent ATM fraud.

 Vaccination is provided through private vaccination centers.  The reserve dose vaccine is approved only nine months after the second dose.

Conspiracy case: Sai Shankar arrested by the crime branch

Kochi: Cyber expert Sai Shankar has been arrested by the crime branch in connection with a conspiracy to murder the investigating officers in the actress’ assault case. He was hiding in Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh. He was arrested for helping to destroy information from Dileep’s phone.
Sai Shankar had admitted that his phone information had not been destroyed and had been transferred to another location. Later, the Crime Branch filed a report against him in the Aluva court.
Sai Shankar was booked yesterday for destroying evidence on the phones of Dileep and other accused and hiding important information from the probe team. The crime branch has found that Sai Shankar destroyed the phone details of Dileep and the other accused.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Met Office has forecast two days of heavy rains in the state. Yellow alert has been declared in seven districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Idukki. Isolated showers and strong winds are likely in the state today and tomorrow. South and Central Kerala receive more rainfall. The rain will intensify in the afternoon and is likely to continue till tomorrow morning. The alert has been announced for tomorrow as well. Yellow alert will be issued in five districts tomorrow.

Permission for Thrissur Pooram Fireworks

Thrissur: The central agency Peso has given permission for the Thrissur Pooram fireworks. Permission was granted for Kuzhiminnal, Amit, malappadakkam, and gund. Sample fireworks will take place on May 8th.
The fireworks will take place on the morning of May 11. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Devaswom Minister K.S. Radhakrishnan in Thiruvananthapuram.
