Thiruvananthapuram: Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian will officially announce and name the OTT platform prepared by KSFDC for the state government. The event will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at the Kalabhavan Theater, Thiruvananthapuram.
Kerala is the first state in India to set up an OTT system under the Government. It is a state-of-the-art streaming system that ensures transparency and allows the filmmaker to earn revenue according to the number of viewers. The platform operates on a pay-per-view basis, paying only for films selected by the audience. Steps are in progress to start operations from November 1.

Actress assault case; Dileep’s friend Sarath arrested
Kochi: Dileep’s friend and businessman Sarath was arrested in the actress assault case. Sarath was arrested for destroying evidence. This is the first arrest in the ongoing investigation. The investigation team had found that the VIP in the case was Sarath. According to the crime branch, it was Sarath who took the footage of the attack on Dileep’s house.
Meanwhile, Dileep’s lawyers will be prosecuted in the case for trying to endanger the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. Lawyers Philip Varghese and Sujesh will be charged in the case of attempting to destroy evidence on the phone. Cyber expert Sai Shankar had said that the lawyers had tried to destroy the evidence. Indications are that the lawyers may be included in the list of defendants when the charge sheet is filed in the case.
NEET 2022: The deadline for registration has been extended
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has again postponed the deadline for registration for the Medical Entrance Examination – NEET 2022. The application process, which was scheduled to end on May 6, was extended to May 15. Currently, the deadline has been extended to May 20, officials said. Candidates were asked to postpone the exam till August but the NTA had decided to hold it on July 17 itself.
The NTA says the deadline has been extended to allow BSc nursing candidates more time to fill out the form. Earlier, only MBBS and BDS courses were required to appear for the exams. Now it has been extended to nursing courses as well. Because of the request received from the Office of the Director-General of the Armed Forces Medical Services, the authorities have decided to extend the deadline for submission of application forms for NEET (UG) – 2022.
Thirty-nine people have died this year on the Chardham expedition
Dehradun: At least 39 people have been reported dead so far on the Chardham Yathra. According to official records, most of the deaths were due to heart disease. Most died on the way. The Chardham Yatra started in Uttarakhand on the 3rd of this month.
As many as 14 people were killed in Yamunotri and Gangotri till yesterday. This includes a Nepali national. Five died in Kedarnath and one in Badrinath. This year’s Chardham Yatra begins with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples on the 3rd of this month. The gates of Kedarnath temple were opened at six and the gates of Badrinath at eight.
However, besides Rishikesh, Uttarakhand Health Department Director-General Dr. S.K. Shailaja Bhatt said. Shailaja Bhatt advised sick pilgrims not to travel.
K-Rail stone laying stopped; GPS system for social impact assessment

The price of Corbevax has been reduced
New Delhi: The price of covid vaccine has been reduced. The price of the biological E-covid vaccine-Corbevax vaccine has been reduced. The company has reduced the price of the drug from Rs 840 to Rs 250. This is the price charged by private vaccination centers. The new price includes GST. When receiving Corbevax from private vaccination centers, it is sufficient to pay Rs.400. Earlier it was Rs 990.
Since April, the Drugs Controller has approved the use of Corbevax for emergency use in children between the ages of five and 12.
Fifty-Fifty Lottery launched by Kerala Government
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Lottery Department re-launched the Sunday lottery under the name ‘Fifty-Fifty’.
The first prize of the ticket is Rs 1 crore. The first draw will take place on the 29th of this month. The ticket price is 50 rupees. The second prize of the ticket is Rs 10 lakh. The lottery department has decided to market 1.08 crore tickets in 12 series. As the ticket sales progress, more tickets will be printed in stages.
The new lottery was named ‘Fifty-Fifty’ to mark the 50th anniversary of the Lottery Department’s launch and the creation of more than 50 million lucky winners in such a short period of time.
The ticket was released by Finance Minister KN Balagopal. The minister said he would consider imparting training courses in finance management to lottery winners.
Delhi fire: Building owner arrested
New Delhi: The owner of a building in north Delhi has been arrested in connection with a fire accident that left 27 people dead. The fire broke out in a 4-story building near the Delhi metro station yesterday. Manish Lakkara, the owner of the absconding building, was arrested. Earlier, company owners Harsha Goel and Varun Goel were arrested. Eight were identified. Manish Lakkara will be subjected to detailed questioning.
Australian cricket legend Andrew Symonds has died in a car accident
Canberra: Australian cricket legend Andrew Symonds has died in a car accident. The accident happened outside Townsville on Saturday night. Symonds, 46, was one of the best all-rounders Australian cricket has ever seen. The accident happened in the Hervey Range, about 50 miles [15 km] from Townsville, where Symonds lived. Police said in a statement that they were investigating the tragic accident. According to Cricket Australia, the car overturned near Alice’s River Bridge while driving on Hervey Range Road after 11pm.
Emergency services tried to rescue him but could not save him. According to reports, the family issued the statement following Symonds’ death. They demanded that his death be confirmed and that the privacy of the family be honored along with condolences. Symonds, who played 198 ODIs for Australia, was a key member of the Australian team that won the World Cup in 2003 and 2007 in a row.
