Thiruvananthapuram: Petrol pumps in Kerala will go on strike on 23rd of this month. The strike is in protest against the non-remediation of the fuel shortage at Hindustan pumps. Kerala Petroleum Dealers Association announced the strike.

There is a fuel crisis in around 550 HP pumps in the state. The owners complained that they were not getting enough fuel from the Hindustan Petroleum Terminal in Kochi.

Civil Supplies Minister GR Anil said that a meeting of the oil companies and the management will be attempted to resolve the issue and the issue is being taken seriously.

Thrissur: A mobile shop was broken into and robbed in Thrissur. Mobile phones worth around Rs 10 lakhs were lost. The robbery happened at Penta Mobiles, owned by Chettyatil Sangeet, a native of Lokamaleswaram.

He came to know about the theft when he came to open the shop in the morning. The thief entered the shop by cutting the bottoms of the glass door and the shutter.

Expensive mobile phones kept on the shelf are missing. The hard disk of the CCTV camera of the institution was also stolen. Kodungallur police have started an investigation.

Thiruvananthapuram: A nurse couple was arrested with drugs in Thiruvananthapuram. The Thiruvananthapuram Excise team caught them. 200 Nitro Sepam tablets were recovered from the couple. Prajin and his wife Darshana S Pillai, a resident of Chirayinkeezhu, were arrested. Both are final-year nursing students. The couple was caught at Chaka, Thiruvananthapuram while they were being smuggled on a bike. Darshana is a native of Ivarkala, Kollam.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that there is no financial crisis in the state at present, although there is a little more cost for Onam celebrations. There is no risk to the treasury. The finance minister said that he will not go into overdraft. The center does not pay the state share. The central government is suffocating all the states. Allocation is being cut.

The Finance Minister said that foreign travel is necessary to learn about world models. Foreign travel and studies are required by the state. We must go to see things in the world. Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that it needs to be studied. The Chief Minister’s travel will not affect the total expenditure. Kerala is not a poor state. Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that these issues should not be discussed, but the tax allocation to be received from the Centre.

Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that Kerala has bought more Benz cars than Oman. It is better to have a planning board. KN Balagopal said that the Center is doing away with planning systems.

Kochi:  It has been confirmed that the bullet in the incident in which a fisherman was shot in the sea in Kochi was from an INSAS rifle. Ballistic team has completed the examination on board INS Dronacharya and the initial conclusion is that the shot may have come from the east side of the fisherman. The Navy said that the necessary information has been handed over to the investigation team in writing.

It has been confirmed that Sebastian, a fisherman in Kochi, was shot at the sea with an INSAS rifle. The range of INSAS guns is 100 to 400 meters. The range also varies depending on the angle at which the shot is fired. The investigation team found that Sebastian was shot on the east side as well. The investigation team came to the conclusion by considering the trajectory of the boat and Sebastian’s statement. Ballistics report also needs to be available to confirm the findings of the investigation team. Ballistic team inspected INS Dronacharya. The investigation team had sought information from the Navy about the guns and ammunition used in the firing practice. The Navy has provided the information requested by the investigation team in writing.
