Thiruvananthapuram: The secretary of District Tourism Promotion Council informed that children up to eleven years of age will be allowed free entry to Veli and Akkulam tourist villages in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. The decision is considering November 14 on the occasion of Children’s Day. The action is on the instructions of the District Collector who is the Chairman of the District Tourism Promotion Council.

A tsunami warning was issued yesterday following an earthquake in the Pacific Ocean near Tonga. Yesterday’s earthquake recorded a magnitude of 7.5. A 5.1 magnitude aftershock was also recorded.

Walayar: Two people, including a Nigerian, were arrested with 170 grams of MDMA. Walayar police and the district anti-narcotics squad arrested both of them from Bengaluru. This is the biggest case of MDMA caught by Palakkad District Police. The Nigerian native was selling MDMA based in Bangalore.
Abhijit, a native of Pala, was arrested along with him. The district police chief said that those arrested are the main ones in drug smuggling to Kerala. Three people were arrested in Walayar last month.
Based on the information received from them, the gang was arrested after reaching Bengaluru. Africans are selling drugs in Bangalore. The police also learned that they have connections with gangs in Kerala. Palakkad district police chief R Vishwanath and ASP Shahul Hameed were conducting the investigation.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court ordered the release of the six accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, including Nalini and RP Ravichandran. The order was given by a bench consisting of Justice BR Gavai and BV Nagaratna. The court issued an order to release all the people based on the verdict in the Perarivalan case.
Nalini has been in jail for more than 31 years. The Supreme Court ordered the release of Perarivalan, another accused in the case, on May 18 after spending more than thirty years in jail. After this, the accused Nalini Sriharan and P Ravichandran filed a petition for release in the Madras High Court, but the court rejected it.

The low pressure over the southwest Bay of Bengal near the northeast Sri Lankan coast has turned into a strong depression. As a result of this, the Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of widespread rain in the state from today till Monday. Heavy rain and thundershowers are likely in isolated places. Strong low pressure will move in the northwest direction till tomorrow morning and move towards the Puducherry coast of Tamil Nadu. Then, on November 12 and 13, the Central Meteorological Department said that it is likely to move through the areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala in a west-northwest direction.

Kasargod: Five people have been arrested in connection with the case of a dentist found dead in Badiyadukka, Kasaragod. The woman from Badiyaduka had earlier complained to the police that the doctor behaved indecently and the doctor’s wife had complained that the complainant woman and relatives threatened her. The accused has arrested on the charge of abetment of suicide.
Badiyatukka dentist S Krishnamurthy was found dead on the railway track in Kundapura yesterday. Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Shihafuddin, Ali and Muhammad Hanif, natives of Badiyaduka, were arrested in the incident. It was alleged that the doctor behaved rudely to the woman who came to the clinic on November 5.
After this, the doctor’s wife complained that a group came to the doctor’s clinic and threatened her. The young woman had also filed a complaint with the police alleging that she had been insulted at the clinic. Meanwhile, the missing doctor was found dead. Five people, including the woman’s brother, were arrested on charges of abetment of suicide on the complaint of the doctor’s wife.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has extended the interim order to protect the area where the ‘Shivalinga’ is claimed to have been found in the Gyanvapi Masjid. The bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud extended the interim order till a decision is made. On May 17, the Supreme Court had ordered the protection of the area where the ‘Shivalinga’ was found. This order was valid till 12th of this month. The Hindu parties filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking an extension of the date. Based on this application, the Supreme Court extended the interim order until the next order is issued.
