Vistara- merges with Air India

New Delhi:  The Singapore Airlines Board has approved the merger between Air India and Vistara. The merger will be completed by 2024.
With this, Air India will become India’s largest international carrier and second largest domestic carrier with 218 aircraft.
There are reports that Singapore Airlines will invest 250 million dollars in India as part of the merger. With this, Singapore Airlines will have 25.1% stake in Air India. Vistara was founded in 2013.

Former Chinese President Jiang Zemin has passed away

Beijing:  Former Chinese President Jiang Zemin (96) passed away. Chinese state media reported that Jiang Zemin, who was undergoing treatment for leukemia, died at around 12.13 pm on Wednesday.
He was the President of China from 1993 to 2003. He served as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party from 1989 to 2002 and Chairman of the Central Military Commission from 1989 to 2004.

Jiang Zemin led China’s rapid economic growth for two decades.

Mohammed Hakeem is a native of Dhoni in Palakkad district. Recently, a team including Hakeem was appointed for security duty in Dabbakonda area of Sukma district. The District Reserve Guard and Special Task Force were also present with the CRPF team.

New Delhi: Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy have resigned from the board of directors of RRPR Holding Pvt Ltd, the promoter group of news channel NDTV. The resignation comes after Adani Group bought NDTV stake. RRPR Holding’s board approved the appointment of Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan as directors instead.

Adani Group got full control of RRPL in August this year. Adani Group, which owns 29.18 percent shares of NDTV, has come up with an open offer to buy 26 percent more from other shareholders. According to the BSE website, Prannoy Roy is still the Chairperson of NDTV and Radhika Roy is the Executive Director.

RBI to launch e-rupee from December 1

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India will launch the e-Rupee from December 1. It is estimated that the digital rupee will help make financial transactions easier and faster. E-Rupee will be a medium of exchange in addition to current currency notes.

Meanwhile, it will be implemented in selected cities in the first phase. In the second phase, e-Rupees will be available in Kochi as well. The notes will be of the same value as the paper currency, RBI said. No interest is earned on e-Rs. It can be converted into cash like bank deposits when needed. In the first phase, it will be released through four banks including SBI.

Thiruvananthapuram: The 27th IFFK will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from December 9 to 16. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the festival at Nishagandhi Auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram on December 9th. Minister VN Vasavan will preside. Avatar 2 will not release in Kerala; FEUOK with prohibition

The theater owners have said that they will not cooperate with the release of the film as the makers are asking for 60 percent of the theater collection. The theater owners’ association, FEUOK, has taken a stand not to cooperate with the release of Avatar 2.  FEUOK, informed that 50-55 percent is usually given to foreign language films. The owners informed that they were sending the agreement directly to the theaters without prior notification for the release.

It has been decided that the film will not be released in all the 400 theaters under FEUOK. Avatar 2 will get 50 percent of the revenue in states other than Tamil Nadu. avatar; The Way of Water is released in six languages in India. The film will be released in theaters on December 16.
