Death of KK Mahesan: Vellapally Natesan 1st accused

Alappuzha: The Mararikulam police have registered a case against Vellapally Natesan as the first accused in the death of KK Mahesan, who was the union secretary of the Kanichukulangara SNDP. Manager KL Ashokan and Tushar Vellapally are the second and third accused in the case. Sections including conspiracy and incitement to suicide have been charged against the accused.

The case was taken on the instructions of Alappuzha Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. According to the FIR, Vellappally Natesan, Tushar Vellappally, and KL Asokan conspired behind making KK Mahesan an accused in the micro-finance fraud case. The FIR also states that the accused put KK Mahesan under mental pressure. Mahesan’s suicide note mentioned these three people.

Saudi has issued personal visit visas to foreigners

Jeddah: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued personal visit visas to foreigners coming to Saudi Arabia. Only tourism and business visas were allowed to visit. But now a new system has been prepared to obtain a visa to visit. They can travel all over the country. The Ministry of External Affairs clarified that visitors are allowed to perform Umrah and visit Madinah. Saudi citizens can now bring foreigners into the country. Apply for the visa by accessing the visa platform website at https://visa.mofa.gov.sa.

Application for the personal visit should be submitted on the visa platform of the Ministry of External Affairs. The ministry also said that by selecting the inquiry icon on the visa platform, one can inquire about the submitted applications. Just click inquiry to know about the previously submitted application. Then the application and passport must be submitted and stamped at the Saudi Arabia Embassy or Consulate in the country of the foreigner’s destination. The move is to increase the number of foreign visitors to the country.

Telangana Operation Lotus; Bail for 3 accused

Hyderabad: Bail granted to 3 accused in jail for trying to overthrow the Telangana government. Ramachandra Bharti, Nandakumar, and Simhayajalu were granted bail by the Telangana High Court. All three were caught red-handed for trying to bribe TRS MLAs to join the BJP. BJP organization secretaries BL Santhosh and Tushar Vellapalli have been included in the charge sheet by the investigation team.
Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court has stayed Tushar’s arrest. The court directed Tushar to cooperate with the investigation. The petition filed by Tushar was being considered for handing over the investigation of the case to the CBI. The court did not consider Tushar’s demand that the case be handed over to the CBI.

The government has sanctioned 1800 crores to settle two months’ arrears in welfare pension

Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister KN Balagopal announced that the Finance Department has sanctioned Rs 1,800 crore for two months of Social Security and Welfare Board pension on the occasion of Christmas.

The pensioners will get Rs 3200 which is two months pension. Pension will be distributed in the first and second weeks of December.

Vistara- merges with Air India

New Delhi:  The Singapore Airlines Board has approved the merger between Air India and Vistara. The merger will be completed by 2024.
With this, Air India will become India’s largest international carrier and second largest domestic carrier with 218 aircraft.
There are reports that Singapore Airlines will invest 250 million dollars in India as part of the merger. With this, Singapore Airlines will have 25.1% stake in Air India. Vistara was founded in 2013.

Former Chinese President Jiang Zemin has passed away

Beijing:  Former Chinese President Jiang Zemin (96) passed away. Chinese state media reported that Jiang Zemin, who was undergoing treatment for leukemia, died at around 12.13 pm on Wednesday.
He was the President of China from 1993 to 2003. He served as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party from 1989 to 2002 and Chairman of the Central Military Commission from 1989 to 2004.

Jiang Zemin led China’s rapid economic growth for two decades.

Ranchi:  A Malayali jawan was killed in a Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district last day. Mohammed Hakeem, a member of the CRPF’s highly trained Cobra squad, was killed in a Maoist attack near Raipur.

Mohammed Hakeem is a native of Dhoni in Palakkad district. Recently, a team including Hakeem was appointed for security duty in Dabbakonda area of Sukma district. The District Reserve Guard and Special Task Force were also present with the CRPF team.

New Delhi: Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy have resigned from the board of directors of RRPR Holding Pvt Ltd, the promoter group of news channel NDTV. The resignation comes after Adani Group bought NDTV stake. RRPR Holding’s board approved the appointment of Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan as directors instead.

Adani Group got full control of RRPL in August this year. Adani Group, which owns 29.18 percent shares of NDTV, has come up with an open offer to buy 26 percent more from other shareholders. According to the BSE website, Prannoy Roy is still the Chairperson of NDTV and Radhika Roy is the Executive Director.
