New Delhi: The number of COVID-19 cases in India continues to decline. According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases has dropped to 6,483, down from 6,836 reported on Tuesday.
Four COVID-related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours—two in Maharashtra and one each in Kerala and Delhi. All the deceased were elderly and suffered from respiratory and other chronic ailments.
Kerala continues to report the highest number of positive cases, though the active caseload has come down to 1,384, showing a day-to-day drop of 275 cases. Gujarat follows with 1,105 active cases, followed by West Bengal (747), Karnataka (653), Delhi (620), Maharashtra (489), Rajasthan (302), Uttar Pradesh (275), and Tamil Nadu (224).
