The Kerala Story: Madhya Pradesh government announces tax cuts

Indore: Madhya Pradesh BJP government announces tax relief for the controversial movie “The Kerala Story”. This was announced by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, the film hit the screens last day amidst controversies. There were widespread protests in various states to mark the release of the film. An intelligence report had come out that there would be a law and order problem if the film was released in Tamil Nadu.

It was released in Kerala on Friday. Various organizations had submitted a petition to the High Court demanding that the film not be screened, but it was rejected.

Operation Trinetra’: Army retaliated in Rajaur, killed a terrorist

New Delhi: Five soldiers martyred in Rajouri, the army counter attacked. The army attack is part of “Operation Trinetra”. There are reports that one terrorist was killed and another terrorist was injured in Kanthi forest area. Army has also recovered many weapons from the area.

“Operation Trinetra” to track down terrorists hiding in Kandy forest is underway. The encounter took place this morning. Arms and ammunitions including AK 56 gun and Hanrus grenade were recovered by the army.

Yesterday, 5 soldiers were martyred in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri. Following this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the Chief of Army Staff visited Jammu to directly assess the situation and paid their last respects to the martyred soldiers.

The Army has discontinued the use of ALH Dhruv helicopters

Srinagar: Army suspends use of ALH Dhruv helicopters. The operation was stopped following the order of the Union Ministry of Defence.

The decision has been taken in view of the frequent accidents of these indigenously manufactured helicopters. A soldier was killed in a helicopter crash in Dhruv, Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar on 4th of this month.

Dhruv helicopters have met with accidents three times in the last two months. On March 8, a Navy helicopter crashed off the coast of Mumbai. The reason was power loss that day. No one was injured. On March 23, a helicopter had met with an accident in Nedumbassery. The decision is made in this context. The Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard had earlier stopped using Dhruv helicopters.

The reels were shot in front of a moving train: Student died in accident

Hyderabad: A student who shot Instagram reels in front of a moving train was hit by a train and met with a tragic end.

The incident happened in Hyderabad. Mohammad Sarfrazi (16), a ninth class student, was hit by a train on the railway track in Sanat Nagar.

Sarfraz was shooting a video for an Instagram reel with two friends. The shoot was close to the rail. Sarfraz died on the spot. Its video is circulating on social media. Police have registered a case and started further investigation.

Brain surgery on the unborn Child; First in the world

Washington: US doctors have created history by performing brain surgery on a unborn baby. This type of surgery is being performed for the first time in the world. The operation was to repair the damage to the blood vessels in the brain of the fetus.

The blood vessels that carry blood from the baby’s brain to the heart did not develop properly. Due to this, there is excessive pressure of blood in the veins and heart which leads to other health problems. This condition is known as Venus of Gallon malformation.

Diagnosing brain injuries and heart defects after the baby is born is a big challenge. Children often receive treatment too late. Of these, 50-60 percent of babies will become ill immediately. This can even lead to death.

It was during the ultrasound examination that the damage to the blood vessels in the brain was discovered. Babies born with this disorder have heart and brain problems. That is why when the pregnancy was 34 weeks, the hospital authorities were ready to perform surgery inside the womb itself. The surgery was performed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital.

‘The Kerala Story’ can go ahead: High Court

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has made a critical remark in the petition against the controversial film Kerala Story. The film tells only the story, not the historical facts. Nothing happens by displaying. The High Court said that this will be accepted by the secular society of Kerala.

The oral reference was while considering the petitions against the Kerala story. After that, the court rejected the request to stay the exhibition of the film.

The petition was heard by a bench comprising Justice N Nagesh and Justice Sophie Thomas. The entire trailer is not anti-society. The court also asked if the film is not a historical film but a fictional film. 

There are references against ISIS in the trailer. The court asked that the film had not said anything against Islam. After checking the trailer and teaser of the film, the decision was taken not to stay.

The teaser was released in November. But the court said that the allegations did not arise now.

But the petitioners argued that the film is injecting poison into the minds of innocent people. The court asked what was in the picture that was offensive. When the defendant argued that the film portrays the Muslim community as a villain, the court asked how a community can be shown as a total evil with isolated incidents.

Manipur Conflict; All trains to Manipur have been suspended

Imphal:  In view of the tension in Manipur against the inclusion of the Metai community in the Scheduled Castes list, all trains to Manipur have been stopped. The North East Railway has suspended train services following a directive from the Manipur government. No trains will enter Manipur until the situation improves.

Many people were injured in the clashes that broke out in Manipur yesterday. Following the clashes, the army and Rapid Action Force have been deployed in the state.

Prohibitory orders have been announced in Imphal West, Kaking, Thoubal, Jiribam, Bishnupur districts, Churachandpur and Tengnaupal after the clashes. Apart from this, a shoot at sight order was issued to bring the situation under control. Governor Anusuya Ukeyi called on the people to exercise restraint and wait for peace.

Curfew was imposed in eight districts of Manipur following the outbreak of violence in Imphal, Churachandpur and Kangpokpi. Mobile internet has been temporarily suspended in the state.

The help of army and Assam Rifles has been sought to control the violence. Following the violence, around 4,000 people have sought shelter in army camps and government office premises in various parts of the state. Army is moving people to safe area.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the conflict, boxer Mary Kom posted a post on Twitter saying, “My state Manipur is burning, please help”. Mary Kom has sought immediate action from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on the issue.

Attack on K Swift bus; A case was registered against the youth

Tirurangadi: Tirurangadi police registered a case against a young man in the incident of stabbing a woman passenger in a K Swift bus. A case was registered for attempted murder. Tirurangadi CI KT Srinivasan stated that the young man attacked the young woman with a knife that he kept in his bag.

The incident happened when he reached Malappuram Venniyur on his way from Munnar to Bangalore. After the attack, the young man cut his own throat. The young woman was stabbed in the chest. Sita, a native of Guthallur, was assaulted by Sanil. It is indicated that the attack was pre-planned. The woman boarded the bus from Angamaly. When they reached Venniyur in Malappuram, the young man came from the back seat and stabbed the woman in the chest. They were immediately taken to the hospital by passengers and bus staff. Both were shifted to a private hospital in Tirur after initial treatment and later to Kozhikode Medical College.

It is reported that Sita and Sanil were acquaintances before. The young man’s condition remains critical.

Clash between terrorists and security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir: Jawan martyred

Srinagar : Terrorists and security personnel clash in Rajouri’s Kandy area. The information is that the terrorists are hiding inside the forest. The army surrounded the area. It was tipped off that a group of terrorists were hiding in the area. One jawan martyred in the encounter. Four others injured in the encounter.  This is the third encounter in the last three days.

Cyber bullying case: Accused Arun Vidyadharan Committed suicide

Kottayam: Arun Vidyadharan, the accused in the case of Athira committed suicide due to cyber abuse, also committed suicide.

The accused was found hanging dead at Apsara Lodge in Kotatcherry, Kanhangad North.

V. M. Athira (26), a native of Kattauruthi Kothanallur, was found hanging dead in her bedroom on Monday morning. Arun Vidyadharan, a native of Kothanallur, who was an earlier friend of Athira. 

Athira committed suicide after being abused on social media. After this, the police registered a case against Arun.
