School opening on June 1 in Kerala; Inauguration of 96 new schools on May 23: Minister V Shivankutty

Kochi: Education Minister V. Shivankutty has said that the admission festival will be held in the state on June 1 and the state-level inauguration will be performed by the Chief Minister at Malayinkeezhu Boys School, Thiruvananthapuram.  In a press conference held in Kochi, the minister said that 96 new schools will be inaugurated on May 23 and 142.58 crores have been spent for this.

3000 crores have been spent on new school buildings in the last 7 years. The minister also stated that the foundation stone was laid for the construction of 11 new school buildings.

Preparations for school opening will be completed before May 27. V  Shivankutty said that 47 lakh students are expected to arrive in the new academic year and the school environment will be differently-abled friendly..

Attendance of children will be strictly checked. Schools will be extensively prepared for students. The green campus will be based on the concept of a clean campus. The minister said that anti-drug campaigns will be organized in schools and there will be a meeting of teachers’ unions tomorrow. The Minister informed that the higher secondary results will be announced on May 25 and the Chief Minister has called a meeting of ministers on May 22.

Meanwhile, SSLC issued notices to 3006 teachers who did not attend the examination evaluation without reason. He clarified that no money should be taken for admission to school and commercialization of education will not be allowed.

Death of non-state worker in Malappuram; Following the mob attack, the district police chief

Kondotty: The district police chief said that the death of a non-state worker in Kondotty, Malappuram, was due to a mob attack. S Sujit Das IPS said that they were brutally beaten for two hours and eight people were arrested in the incident.
The beating was done with a piece of wood, plastic, and stone. His hands were tied behind his back. Beaten from 12:30 pm to 2 am. The police arrived and took him to a private hospital in Kondotty. Seventeen-year-old hanged in the religious education center

Thiruvananthapuram: A 17-year-old girl was found dead in a religious study center in Balaramapuram, Thiruvananthapuram. Asmiya, a native of Bimapally, died. Alleging that the incident was suspicious, the relatives complained to the police.

Asmiya, a native of Bimapally, used to live and study at a religious education center in Balaramapuram. She was found hanging dead in the religious education center yesterday. The family alleges that they have been harassed by the institutional authorities. Earlier, the child had complained about the institution. Yesterday, the child called home and said that should reach Balaramapuram immediately.

The authorities were not ready to show the child to the mother who reached the institution within an hour and a half. Later, the family was informed that the girl had hanged herself in the bathroom. The police registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation.

ICSE 10th and Plus 2 Exam Results Declared

Thiruvananthapuram:  ICSE 10th and Plus 2nd Results declared. The national pass percentage in class 10 is 98.94%. Two and a half lakh students appeared for the exam. The pass percentage in Kerala is 99.97%.
99.21% of girls who appeared in the exam qualified for higher studies. 98.71 percent of boys passed. 9 students have secured first rank in the 10th class.
98.01 percent of the girls who appeared for the Plus Two examination passed. 95.96% of boys have passed.

His son Nikhil Kumara Swamy lost to Congress’s Iqbal Hussain in JDS stronghold Ramanagara. 11 ministers of the BJP lost their hands due to anti-incumbency sentiment. Congress’ resounding victory in Karnataka turned the country into a celebration.
