Licenses of pharmacies, medical stores to be revoked if antibiotics are dispensed without prescription: Minister Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George said that antibiotics will no longer be dispensed through medical stores without a doctor’s prescription.  Strict action will be taken if antibiotics are given without a prescription.  The minister also said that licenses of pharmacies and medical stores will be canceled.  The public can also be informed in this regard. 

 The health minister said that the propaganda that there is no medicine in government hospitals is baseless.  Efforts are being made to carry out drug-related matters systematically.  Drugs worth Rs 627 crore have been procured so far this financial year.  There is plenty of medicine in stock.  The minister also pointed out that hospitals have been instructed to purchase 20 percent of medicines in the next attempt.

 There is currently no cause for concern.  Problems will be resolved if any.  People should be careful not to go and buy antibiotics themselves.  Increasing number of patients is a problem.  The minister also stated that efforts are being made to buy medicine as it increases.

Facilities to be provided in theaters for hearing and visually impaired: Central Govt

New Delhi: The central government has issued guidelines for provision of facilities in cinema theaters for the visually and hearing impaired. The guidelines also state that technical systems such as audio description and captions should be prepared for them.

From January 2025 onwards, films sent to the National Film Awards and the Goa International Film Festival have also been directed to comply with these standards. The guidelines are in accordance with the provisions of the Rights of Persons and Disabilities Act, 2016.

Vistara announces direct flight from Paris to Mumbai

Mumbai: Vistara announces direct flight from Paris to Mumbai. The flight service will start from March 28. The service will be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Vistara stated that there will be five times a week service. At present, Vistara operates a direct service from Delhi to Paris five times a week.

Apart from that there are flights from Mumbai to London and Frankfurt.

Paris: President Emmanuel Macron chose Gabriel Atal as the new Prime Minister of France. Gabriel Attal, who was the Minister of Education, was selected after the current Prime Minister, Elizabeth Bourne, resigned.

No bail for Rahul Mankoottam: Remanded till 22nd

Thiruvananthapuram: The court rejected the bail plea of Youth Congress state president Rahul Mankoottam. The court also remanded Rahul till January 22. After the results of the detailed medical examination, the Vanchiur court rejected Rahul’s bail application. It was found that there were no health problems during the examination conducted at the Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital following the court order. The arrest was made in connection with the Youth Congress Secretariat March.

The police arrived and arrested him from his house in Pathanamthitta on Tuesday morning. The police alleged that the women were kept in front of the march and attacked the police. Opposing the bail, the police have told the court that if Rahul is granted bail, it will be equivalent to giving a wrong message. The police has also produced a video of Youth Congress activists hitting them with lathis and shields.

Kollam: Kannur won gold crown in the state school arts festival. Kannur reached the first position with 952 points. After a gap of 23 years, Kannur is chasing the gold crown. This is the fourth time that Kannur has won the title in the state school arts festival.

Kozhikode got the second position with 949 points and Palakkad got the third position with 938 points. Among the schools, Palakkad Alathur BSS Gurukulam Higher Secondary School came first with 249 points. Thiruvananthapuram Vazhuthacaud Carmel Higher Secondary School came second with 116 points.

Senthil Balaji is still in jail; The remand was extended till January 11

Chennai: The remand of Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji has been extended till January 11. The sessions court extended the remand. DMK leader Senthil Balaji was arrested by the ED on June 14, 2023 in a labor corruption case. Balaji is currently in Puzhal Jail. Balaji was produced before Principal Sessions Judge S Alli through video conference.

Senthil Balaji’s departments were removed after the ED arrested him in the case of extorting money by offering him a job.

The power department, which was in charge of Balaji, was handed over to Finance Minister Thangam Tennarasu and Excise Muthu Swamy. But Balaji was not removed from the ministry.

A one-year-old child was killed by his mother’s sister in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: A one-year-old baby was killed by throwing it into a well in Vellanadu. The incident happened in Kattakkada Konniyur, Thiruvananthapuram. The mother’s sister throw the child in the well. Sindhu’s sister Manju threw the baby into the well. She is being treated for mental illness.

The child was thrown into the well this morning. After the murder, Manju informed the nearby laborers. Accused Manju was taken into custody by Valapillashala police. Sreekanthan’s one-and-a-half-year-old son was killed.

The police also said that Manju was the first wife of Srikantan. But with the second birth, Manju had mental problems. Then Sreekanthan married Manju’s unmarried sister. The police said that Manju threw the baby in the well.

Jasna Missing Case; A yellow notice has been issued by Interpol for Jasna

CBI report that there is no clue about missing Jasna. From the tests conducted at conversion centers including Ponnani and Arya Samaj, it was learned that Jasna had not converted. Terrorist organizations are also not involved in the missing case. Unidentified dead bodies reported in the country were checked and places where suicides were taking place in Kerala were also checked.

Jasna’s father and friend were examined by BEOS but no further evidence was found. CBI report also that Jasna did not use social media. A yellow notice has been issued for Jasna by Interpol. This is in the CBI report.
