London: Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian origin, will become Britain’s Prime Minister. Rishi Sunak won the support of 193 MPs. Former defense minister Penny Mordent has withdrawn from the race. Penny Mordent won the support of 26 MPs. Rishi, who won the support of more than half of the MPs, will be elected as the leader of the Conservative Party. Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had already withdrawn from the race.
Rishi Sunak is of Indian origin and son-in-law of Infosys founder chairman NR Narayanamurthy. Rishi Sunak was elected as the new finance minister of Britain in 2020. Rishi Sunak, who was elected to Parliament for the first time in 2015, was appointed as the Finance Minister while working as the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
