No loud talking or song; KSRTC imposes restrictions on mobile usage in bus

Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC has imposed restrictions on the use of mobile phones which may disturb other passengers.

The use of loud mobile phones and electronic devices, as well as watching audio videos, was banned. The action comes in the wake of several complaints in this regard.

It will be written and displayed inside the bus. KSRTC hopes that the new decision will help prevent a recurrence of creating an unhealthy and uncomfortable atmosphere among passengers. KSRTC strives to provide safe travel while maximizing the interests of all types of passengers.

Complaints regarding this within the bus will be handled with restraint by the conductors and passengers will be requested to comply with these instructions. The move comes amid numerous complaints that passengers are being fooled into talking loudly on their mobile phones, talking rudely and listening to loud videos and songs.

Earlier, the Karnataka High Court had banned people from listening to loud music on their mobile phones while traveling in a bus.
