Thiruvananthapuram: The permit of Robin Bus has been canceled citing that it is constantly violating the law. K Manoj Kumar, Joint Transport Commissioner, Department of Motor Vehicles, who is also the Secretary of the State Transport Authority, canceled the permit. On the basis of the letter from Pathanamthitta Enforcement Division RTO, the action is as per All India Tourist Permit Rules 2023. Tamil Nadu and Kerala have fined Robin Bus, which operated on the Pathanamthitta Coimbatore route, several times. The All India Permit of the bus is in the name of K Kishore, a native of Kozhikode. Earlier action was taken against the Robin bus on the grounds that it ran as a stage carriage without a valid stage carriage permit by collecting a separate charge from the passengers.
