Trolling ban came in to effect

Thiruvananthapuram: Trolling band has come into effect in the state. The ban lasts for 52 days until July 31. This does not apply to inboard boats and small vessels. Large boats that had been at sea for days began to return. Other state boats also left the coast. A 24-hour Fisheries Control Room has been set up in all the coastal districts.

Lifeguards and a Sea Rescue Squad were deployed to protect the aircraft. This year, three Marine Ambulances will operate for the safety of surface fishing vessels. Traditional fishermen are advised to carry biometric ID cards and safety equipment when going to sea.
