Palakkad: The Sabari Express will be diverted from Ernakulam to Alappuzha from tomorrow (February 7) to expedite the initial doubling of the Ettumanoor-Kottayam railway line. It was informed that train No. 17230 Secunderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Sabari Express will be diverted from February 14 to March 05, 2022. However, the Sabari Express via Kottayam will run via Alappuzha from tomorrow as part of the work to be completed earlier.
Scheduled stops between Ernakulam town and Kayamkulam junction at Kottayam and Changanassery will be avoided.
Additional temporary stops have been set up at Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha, and Haripad for those traveling to Thiruvalla, Chengannur, and Mavelikkara.
