Kochi: Police have registered a case against the Enforcement Directorate for pressuring to give a false statement against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The case was registered by the Crime Branch.
The action is based on the report of the officials who investigated the audio recording of Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case. A case of conspiracy has also been registered against Idi. Legal advice was obtained from the Director-General of Prosecutions for this.
Earlier, the ED itself had written to the government in this regard. Two female officers testified that they witnessed the enforcement of the Swapna. Earlier, the report of the investigation team on the audio recording of the Swapna was released.
