Kozhikode: The parents, who gave quotations against their daughter and son-in-law for marrying their daughter in love, have been arrested. Chevayur police arrested seven people, including the woman’s mother and father.
The girl’s mother Ajitha and father Anirudhan from Kozhikode Palor Mala were also arrested. Their friend Rinesh had earlier been the victim of violence for supporting a romantic marriage.
On December 12, the Quotations team attacked Rinesh. Rinesh was rushed to Kozhikode Medical College by the locals with serious head injuries. The cause was not clear at the time of the violence. The cause was later revealed during a police investigation.
