Thiruvananthapuram: More services will be launched from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Indigo Airlines will operate flights to Abu Dhabi and Dammam.
The service will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Thiruvananthapuram-Abu Dhabi service will start on June 15. The flight will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 pm and reach Abu Dhabi at 12.10 pm.
The flight will leave Abu Dhabi at 1.30 am and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.15 am. The service to Dammam will start on July 1. The flight will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 7.55 am and reach Dammam at 10.10 am. The return flight will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 11.35 am and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.30 pm. Bookings have started for both services.
Air India’s Muscat-Kannur service will start from June 21. The service will run three days a week from June 21, officials said.
Services will be on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flight will leave Kannur at 10.20 pm and reach Muscat at 12.20 pm local time. The flight will leave Kannur at 4.30 pm and reach Kannur at 9.30 am.
With the launch of Air India, expats are hoping for a reduction in ticket prices. Currently, the Muscat-Kannur route is operated by Air India Express and Go First.
