Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of widespread rain in the state from October 17 to 21. Chance of thunder and lightning at isolated places. Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places on October 20. Cyclone may form over North Andaman Sea by October 18. According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure is likely to reach northwest Bay of Bengal around October 20 and intensify as a low pressure, as a result of which widespread rainfall is expected.
