Palakkad: With Nipah virus cases confirmed in Palakkad district, Tamil Nadu has enforced strict checks at border points including Anakkandy, Meenakshipuram, Govindapuram, and Velanthavalam checkpoints.
Travellers entering Tamil Nadu from Kerala are being screened for fever and other symptoms. A 32-year-old man, the son of a person who recently died due to Nipah in Changaleeri, Palakkad, has also tested positive, marking the third confirmed case in the district. Tamil Nadu has responded with heightened surveillance.
