The Kerala State Crime Branch will now investigate the mysterious death of Vipanchika and her child, residents of Kollam, who died in Sharjah under suspicious circumstances.
The initial investigation is being handled by the Sasthamcotta DySP. An official order forming the investigation team is expected soon.
The current charges include abetment to suicide and dowry harassment. Vipanchika’s husband Nithish, his father, and his sister are the prime accused. Her mobile phone has been sent for forensic analysis. The family alleges direct involvement of the in-laws in her death.
