Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that Kerala has been awarded the top performer in the Centre’s startup ranking. The Chief Minister said that the LDF government is committed to making Kerala a knowledge society where knowledge and skills are at the core.
Through the measures devised for this, we have been able to make unparalleled leaps in many fields. Many recognitions have been achieved in the state. For the third time in a row, Kerala received the Central Government’s Startup Award for the best performance in the startup sector. Kerala has been awarded the Top Performer Award for 2021 in the Centre’s States Startup Ranking due to its emphasis on developing a robust startup environment.
The award is given by an expert committee jointly formed by the Union Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Startup India and the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. As part of the award announcement, the committee lauded the state government’s promotion of missions like the Kerala Startup Mission as a digital hub for product design and development activities.
