It was reported that the death was due to mental and physical abuse by IB officer Sukant Suresh. It was also reported that the young woman was exploited, the amount in her account was embezzled, and she was taken to a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram for an abortion, and that Sukant had forged documents, including marriage documents.
