Pathanamthitta: All three accused in the Ilantur human sacrifice case were remanded till the 26th of this month. Shafi and Bhagwal Singh are lodged in the district jail. The third suspect will take Laila to the women’s jail. The police remand report states that the accused may continue to commit crimes. Apart from human sacrifice, it will be investigated if the accused had any other motive.
Shocking information has also come out that Shafi was trying to bring more women to Thiruvalla after the human sacrifice in Ilantur. 5 days ago, another woman who sells a lottery in Ernakulam also tried to reach Thiruvalla. Shafi said that he would come back within 24 hours. Shafi’s temptation was that there is a couple with divine power in Thiruvalla and if he goes there, the financial problem will change.
The women revealed to the police that they did not go because they got suspicious when Shafi told them about witchcraft and animal sacrifice. Shafi also took the gold worn by Padma and Rosli.
