Heat rises in Kerala, risk of sunstroke in seven districts; Disaster Management Department issued a warning

Thiruvananthapuram: The disaster management department said there is a risk of sunstroke in seven districts of the state. The sunstroke warning is based on the heat index map published by the Disaster Management Department. Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts are prone to sunstroke.

The heat index is a measure of how hot the air feels with the combination of air temperature and humidity. The Disaster Management Department also said that the heat index map will be published every day from now on.
