Kozhikode: Big gold hunt at Karipur Airport. An attempt was made to smuggle 1256 grams of gold worth over Rs 55 lakh through Karipur International Airport today. The gold was seized by the Kozhikode Customs Preventive Section.
The gold alloy was found from Abdul Rashid, a native of Vadakara, who arrived on a Faidubai flight from Dubai. The gold was hidden inside the body in the form of a capsule on a private part. The gold was seized by the Customs Preventive Squad from Kozhikode based on intelligence.
