Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Antony Raju has extended the validity of driving licenses, vehicle registration certificate, fitness certificate, and permit till November 30, 2021. The validity of the certificates has been extended under the Central Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989. The minister said vehicle owners should update their documents within this period. Earlier, due to covid, the deadline was extended to September 30. The minister said due to the expiration of their fitness certificates and the covid crisis persisted. Minister Antony Raju had written to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari with this demand.
