Thiruvananthapuram: A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister has decided to tighten controls in the state as Covid continues to escalate day by day. More Sector Officers and Police will be deployed for disease prevention and control. Normal shops outside the Cantonment Zone will be open until 9 p.m. It is enough that only half of the people work in government offices. The government has suggested the implementation of a work-from-home system in the private sector as well.
It has been decided to introduce online registration for vaccine distribution. Education was made entirely online only. There will be strict controls on Saturdays and Sundays. Only essential services are allowed these days. This Saturday was a holiday for government institutions.
