ED investigation against businessman Bobby Chemmannur. The ED is conducting a preliminary investigation into the misappropriation of funds. Bobby Chemmannur said that it was the normal course of action of the Enforcement Directorate and that he answered everything they asked correctly.
Bobby Chemmannur said that the ED had instructed him to submit the details with in a month and a half ago and he has submitted all the figures and there are no problems in any of them. He added that the ED officials said that the file would be closed this month itself, adding that it was only a natural step.
Bobby Chemmannur says that the FIR against him was based on complaints that he was selling tea powder along with coupons and giving gifts worth Rs 25 lakh to many people. Bobby Chemmannur said that the complaint pointed out that this is an illegal lottery.
