Drone flying has been banned in Kumarakom; Strict legal action will be taken against the violators

Kottayam: As part of the security arrangements for the G-20 summit to be held in the district from the end of this month to the 10th of next month, as Kumarakam and its surroundings are included in the red zone, according to Section 24(2) of the Drone Rules 2021, flying of drones within five kilometers radius of Kumarakam and its surrounding areas is strictly prohibited.

The ban will be from 29th of this month to 10th of April. Drones, remote controlled aircraft and other air balloons will also come under this scope. District Police Chief K. Karthik said that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate this.
