Malappuram: A pregnant woman committed suicide in Malappuram over domestic violence. The woman’s husband’s father was arrested for provoking the lady to commit suicide. The police arrested Velukkutty, a native of Edakkara Kalkulam.
Nithila (23), a resident of Adianpara in Nilambur who was pregnant with eight months pregnant, has committed suicide last month. Nithila’s relatives alleged that the victim committed suicide after her husband’s relatives abused her. The victim’s father Velukkutty was arrested by the police after a probe.
