Thiruvananthapuram: State Health Minister Veena George has said that covid vaccination has reached 90 percent in the state. 90% received the first dose. Vaccination in five districts is close to 100 percent. The Minister lauded the health workers for their excellent performance in covid prevention and vaccination. Achieved great success in settling social defenses. RTPCR tests have been increased. The TPR was dropped following an expert recommendation, the health minister said.
The Minister advised not to be reluctant to vaccinate. Covid deaths are more common in people who have not been vaccinated. The Covid protocol must be strictly adhered to as the second wave intensity passes. Meetings and public events should be avoided.
