Kozhikode: Big gold hunt in Karipur. Customs seized gold worth Rs 41.70 lakh. About 1 kg of gold was seized by the air cargo customs officials who tried to smuggle it through the Kozhikode air cargo complex through a roller used to make cakes.
Selvam (24), a native of Thirurkad, Malappuram, has been caught with the gold in the handle of the roller which was in the baggage imported from Dubai.
