THRIPPUNITHURA: Adam Tini (25), son of popular Malayalam actor and mimicry artist Tini Tom, has been arrested by the police in connection with a drug-related case. He was apprehended by the Hill Palace Police in Thrippunithura for allegedly possessing ganja (cannabis).
According to police reports, Adam was taken into custody following a tip-off. During the inspection, officers recovered a quantity of ganja from his possession. A case has been registered, and the police are currently investigating whether he was involved in the distribution of the substance or if it was for personal use.
The arrest has sparked significant discussion on social media, especially given Tini Tom’s active role in anti-drug campaigns. In several previous public forums, the actor had voiced his deep concerns about the rising drug menace in society and the film industry. He had even emotionally shared his fears as a father, stating that he was constantly worried about his son potentially falling into such traps.
While Tini Tom has been a vocal advocate for “Yodhav” (the Kerala government’s anti-drug campaign), the news of his son’s involvement in a narcotics case has come as a shock to the film fraternity and his fans. As of now, the actor has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
