Thiruvananthapuram: In the first phase, Kerala got 4,35,500 vial vaccines in the distribution of the Covid vaccine. The state has received official notification in this regard. The field vaccine is a 10-dose vial. The vaccine should be used within six hours of a vial break. Arrangements for distribution and storage of the wax have been completed in Kerala.
In the first phase, Kerala had demanded five lakh vial vaccines. The state also demanded that the covishield itself be made available. More than 3.5 lakh health workers, along with medical students and Asha Anganwadi workers will be vaccinated for the first time in Kerala. Four and a half lakh field vaccine for this. Besides, the elderly are also included in the calculation. Thus, in the first phase, Kerala had requested five lakh doses of vaccine from the Center.
