Thiruvananthapuram: The private bus strike announced by the joint strike committee of bus owners from December 21 has been postponed due to various issues. The leaders of the strike committee said that the decision to change the strike was taken after receiving indications that the government would take a sympathetic stance on the issues raised.
The leaders met in the morning via Google Meet. The leaders also said that the strike committee had considered it difficult for the public to go on strike as Christmas is reached. The strike was called by the JSC to make the minimum charge to Rs 12, the minimum bus fare for students to Rs. 6 and the road tax exemption till December 31.
