Hyderabad: At least 10 people have been killed in a blast at a limestone quarry in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The dead were quarry workers. Reports indicate that there were about forty people at the scene. It is reported that many people are trapped in the quarry. The incident took place on Saturday morning. The search for those trapped is in progress.
The accident happened while loading explosives on a rock in the quarry. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was shocked by the accident. Officers were instructed to investigate the accident.
