Mother- son commit suicide: Six TRS leaders arrested

Kamareddy: Six leaders of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly inciting a real estate businessman and his mother to commit suicide in Kamareddy.

Gangam Santhosh and his mother Gangam Padma committed suicide by setting fire to a lodge in Kamareddy on April 16 after they allegedly assaulted TRS leaders and a circle inspector.

Santosh had posted on social media alleging that they were responsible for the suicide. Police said a suicide note was also found at the scene. The letter also states that he had financial obligations due to them.

The letter alleges that the evidence kept on the phone against the leaders was bought and destroyed by the police SI and that the police conspired with the leaders.
A case of suicide incitement was registered against them and a senior police officer was assigned to investigate the allegations.
