Infosys Ends operations in Russia

Banglore: Indian IT company Infosys Ltd is closing down in Russia. Salil Parekh, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys, made the announcement during the March quarter.

He was responding to a question from reporters about whether the Russian military operation in Ukraine had affected the company’s operations. Parekh said there were no customers in Russia and that working in Russia was for global customers.

Therefore, the problems in the sector have not affected the operations of the company. But Parekh said he was concerned about the situation there.

The Russian office has less than 100 employees. Steps are being taken to relocate them. Parekh said more people would be sent to Eastern Europe.
