Mumbai: Huge gold hunt at Mumbai airport. Twelve kilograms of gold worth Rs 5.38 crore were seized by airport customs authorities.
The gold was seized from specially designed belts worn by passengers in Sudan. 6 people were arrested in the incident.
While customs officials were trying to nab the accused, some people came to his aid, airport sources said. A total of six people have been arrested. 5 of them helped the smugglers. It is reported that the recovered gold is worth more than five crore rupees.
