Aizawl: 10 people died in a granite quarry collapse in Mizoram due to heavy rains. Many people are missing. Rescue operation is going on. The accident took place on the outskirts of Aizawl city between Meltum and Hlimen area on Tuesday at 6 am.
7 of the deceased are local residents. DGP Anil Shukla said that the rescue operation is in crisis due to heavy rain.
The initial conclusion is that ten more people may be trapped in the debris. Landslides have occurred in many parts of the state due to heavy rains.
