Thiruvananthapuram: The state police have registered another case against the enforcement team investigating the gold smuggling case. The crime branch has registered a case against ED. The case is based on a complaint filed by Sandeep Nair’s lawyer. The complaint is that he was forced to give a statement against the Chief Minister.
The case is based on a complaint lodged directly with the DGP based on information provided by Sandeep Nair. Sandeep Nair had earlier filed a letter in the Principal Sessions Court against ED. Earlier, a case was registered against ED officials for forcing Swapna to testify.
The case was registered following the legal advice of the Director-General of Prosecutions.
