Karnal: A farmer who was injured in a police lathi charge against a farmer protesting against agricultural bills had died. In the last week, Karnal native Susheel Kajal has died. Sushil had sustained a head injury in the police action yesterday. But doctors said the cause of death was cardiac arrest.
A video was released yesterday of a senior Haryana official shouting at police for beating the heads of protesting farmers. Just before the lathi charge, Ayush Sinha, the SDM of Karnal, ordered the police to hit him on the head. In the video, Sinha says, all you have to do is kick them and hit them. It does not require instruction. I do not see a protester with any head injuries.
