Srinagar: Clashes between security forces and militants in Shopian, Jammu, and Kashmir. Troops killed three militants. The clash took place in the Munihall area of Shopian on Monday morning. The security forces said the militants were linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba. It was learned that militants were hiding in the area. During the ensuing search operation, the militants opened fire on the security forces. The security forces then retaliated. A large cache of weapons was also seized.
